Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. If you're under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use them. By using the Services you confirm the information you give us is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at info@nextchapterskills.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or is inactive for an extended period.

ApplicantSpace is in early access. Project Vertex and NextStep are in development and not yet publicly available — joining a waitlist does not guarantee access, a launch date, or that the product will ship in its currently described form.

Features, pricing, and availability may change as we build. We'll try to give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what a paid plan includes.

You retain ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, code, and any other content you submit to the Services ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Services for you — for example, to generate a tailored resume or score a coding assessment.

You're responsible for Your Content and for making sure it's accurate and that you have the right to submit it. Don't submit anyone else's personal or confidential information without their permission.

ApplicantSpace, Project Vertex, and NextStep use AI models to rewrite, score, or assess content. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or not fit for your specific situation. You're responsible for reviewing anything the Services generate — a tailored resume, a cover letter, a readiness score — before you rely on it or send it to an employer. We don't guarantee any outcome, including that a tailored resume will pass a specific ATS, get you an interview, or result in a job offer.

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or work history through the Services
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our models or underlying systems
• Use Project Vertex's assessment environment to cheat, impersonate another candidate, or bypass proctoring
• Interfere with the Services' normal operation or attempt unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose

The Services — including our software, product names, logos, and site content excluding Your Content — belong to Next Chapter Skills Private Limited or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you.

The Services may link to or interact with third-party job boards, applicant tracking systems, or export formats. We don't control and aren't responsible for those third parties' content, policies, or availability.

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Next Chapter Skills Private Limited won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including any hiring outcome. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You can stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violating these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability — will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services.

We may update these Terms as the Services change. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
